Latisse® in Charleston County, SC

If you are looking for a long-term solution for longer, thicker eyelashes, it may be time to consider Latisse®. At Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery, we are proud to offer Latisse® to residents of Charleston, Summerville and Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

What is Latisse®?

Latisse® is an eyelash enhancement treatment that is only available through prescription. Before Latisse®, there were not many options for enhancing the eyelashes. Artificial eyelashes are the most common option, but they do not last very long and come with a number of difficulties in terms of care. With Latisse®, a simple topical solution, you can increase your natural eyelash growth to achieve longer, thicker and darker eyelashes. The Latisse® formula can even be used to stimulate eyebrow growth for those who want to achieve thicker eyebrows. Latisse® is FDA approved, and is the first treatment that can stimulate the natural growth of the eyelashes and eyebrows for a beautiful, youthful appearance.

How Much Does Latisse® Cost?

The total cost of your Latisse® treatment at Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery will vary based upon how much treatment is required. During your consultation we will develop a personalized treatment plan, and you will be informed of your treatment costs and methods of payment. We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. Financing is also available so that our Latisse® treatments are affordable to all of our patients.

What are the Benefits of Latisse®?

Latisse® is guaranteed to add length and restore body to weakened eyelashes. It is the first medicine of its kind to be approved by the FDA. Mascara and false eyelashes are only a temporary solution for short or thin eyelashes. Even expensive over-the-counter cosmetic products only provide a short-term solution. With Latisse®, your results are completely natural and long-lasting. Latisse® is the number one solution for thinning eyelashes and eyebrows, offering benefits that include:

  • Amazing results in just a few short weeks
  • Naturally fuller, stronger and longer eyelashes
  • Permanent results with only one application a day

What is the Latisse® Procedure?

The first step to begin Latisse® is to meet with our aesthetician. During your consultation, you will learn the benefits of Latisse®. You will also discuss any possible side effects and together you will decide if Latisse® is a good fit for you. Once it has been decided that you are a good candidate for Latisse®, your physician will write you a prescription and make sure you understand how to apply Latisse® at home, using the following guidelines:

  • Wash your face and gently pat it dry with a clean cloth.
  • Holding the application brush horizontally, carefully apply a drop of Latisse® to the applicator.
  • Latisse® is applied very much like eyeliner. Starting at the inside corner of your upper eyelid, gently swipe the applicator across the expanse of your lash line.
  • Use a cotton swab or clean cloth to blot away any left-over Latisse®.

Even though Latisse® is easy to apply by yourself at home, you must remember that because it is a prescription medicine, it should always be utilized as indicated. Latisse® should not be used on the bottom eyelashes, and patients must take care to avoid getting the Latisse® formula in the eyes. For best results, daily use is necessary.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Latisse®?

Latisse® begins working immediately, but it often takes about one month for the initial results to become visible. Within three months of using Latisse® on a daily basis, you will achieve the maximum results of treatment, enjoying longer, thicker and darker eyelashes or eyebrows. However, it is important to note that your eyelash enhancement will only last as long as you continue using Latisse® on a regular basis. If you discontinue using Latisse® for any reason, your eyelashes will gradually return to their original length and thickness. With daily use of Latisse®, your results can be permanent.

If you are ready to achieve the eyelashes and eyebrows of your dreams, contact us today to schedule your consultation for Latisse®.
