Meet Dr. Kailyn Wilcox
aesthetic plastic surgery. She brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every
procedure, guided by a deep appreciation for both artistry and precision.
Raised in Upstate New York near the edge of the Adirondack Mountains, Dr. Wilcox has always been drawn to the fine details that make something truly beautiful. As a lifelong sketch artist, she found joy in drawing faces, capturing expressions, intricate features, and the essence of the individual. That same love for form and nuance naturally evolved into her passion for facial plastic surgery, where she combines surgical expertise with an artist’s eye to deliver natural, elegant results.
Dr. Wilcox graduated summa cum laude from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a
degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she also completed her general surgery residency, including two years of dedicated surgical research. She then completed her fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Tower Health in Pennsylvania, serving as Administrative Chief Fellow. She was recognized for achieving the 95th percentile nationally on the Plastic Surgery In-Training Exam, an honor that reflects her deep knowledge and dedication to surgical excellence.
Dr. Wilcox’s favorite procedures involve facial aesthetics, including facelifts, rhinoplasty, and blepharoplasty, which allow her to apply artistic precision to achieve refined, natural results. She is also passionate about restoring femininity and body confidence through procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lifts, and abdominoplasty, often performed as part of comprehensive “mommy makeovers”.
As a female plastic surgeon, Dr. Wilcox understands the deeply personal nature of aesthetic concerns and brings both empathy and insight to her consultations. She believes in truly listening to each patient’s goals and creating results that feel natural. She values long-term relationships and takes pride in being a steady, compassionate presence from consultation through recovery and beyond.
Drawn to the Lowcountry by its charm, beauty, and strong sense of community, as well as the opportunity to be closer to her sister in Charleston, Dr. Wilcox is excited to build relationships with her patients here. Outside the operating room, she’s a collector of tropical plants, hiker who enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her Great Dane and cat.
Dr. Wilcox is honored to join the team at Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery and looks forward to
helping her patients feel empowered, confident, and cared for every step of the way.
