Operating Room Manager in Charleston County, SC

Alyssa Fankhouser, OR Manager

Alyssa has been a part of the Sweetgrass team since April 2021. Offering more than 13 years of hands-on surgical experience, including certification as a Surgical Technologist since 2012. Throughout her career, she has worked across a range of surgical specialties, gaining deep clinical knowledge and a strong sense of teamwork. She is deeply committed to patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. She takes pride in creating a supportive environment where both patients and surgical staff feel confident and cared for.

She moved to Charleston in 2019 from Greenville, SC and has really embraced coastal living. She enjoys relaxing at the beach, working out, trying out new spots in the local food scene, and loving on her precious pup, Brodie!

MJ Juergens, Spa Manager

Meet MJ, our dynamic Spa Manager at Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery! Originally from Ohio, MJ brings a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and warmth to our team. Before stepping into the world of aesthetics, she spent time as a teacher and even was a commercial woodworker—proof that there’s nothing she can’t do with a little passion and grit.

Since moving to Charleston in 2013, MJ has fully embraced the Lowcountry lifestyle. When she’s not leading the spa with heart and humor, you can find her out on the water boating, hunting for the perfect houseplant, or rolling cigars like a pro. She also shares her home with her beloved bernedoodle, Max.

MJ’s favorite part of her job is helping clients feel confident and cared for, and she’s always ready to greet you with a smile and a laugh.

Anna Frank, Scrub Tech

Anna joined our team in 2020 coming to us from Norman, Oklahoma where she was born and raised. She graduated with her Surgical Tech degree in 2014 holding 8 years of operating room experience under her belt. In her free time, you can catch her at the beach, in the gym, or spending time with friends and family. She has a passion for plastic surgery and is looking forward to helping patients achieve their goals at Sweetgrass!

Chelsea McAneney, RN

Chelsea was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and raised in Goose Creek, South Carolina—a place that sparked my love for the coast and the outdoors. When she's not working, you can usually find her at the beach, recharging and relaxing, or snuggling up with her dog Pepper. CrossFit is a big part of Chelsea's life and a true passion that keeps her focused, disciplined, and energized. She's been a nurse for six years, and during that time, she has built her career around compassion, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to patient care. Claire Wilfong, RN

Claire grew up in Charlotte, NC before heading down to Columbia, SC to pursue her nursing degree at University of South Carolina. Upon graduation, Claire was part of the team at MUSC where she worked in the Pediatric OR. Claire joined our Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery family in June 2022, and you can find her at all our locations getting you prepped and ready to go for surgery!

Viki Smigelski, Patient Care Coordinator

Viki started her career in the medical field in Detroit, Michigan as a Certified EMT. She has worked in hospitals, Urgent Care Centers, and GI before joining the Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery team in 2017. Viki wears many “hats” at Sweetgrass and is skilled in many areas such as CoolSculpting, VelaShape, Ketamine Infusions, and preparing patients for surgery. She is committed to ensuring our patients are comfortable and happy throughout their surgical experience. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, and being outdoors.

Patient Care Coordinator in Charleston County, SC

Christine Lafond, Patient Care Coordinator

Christine moved to the Lowcountry in 1977 from Maryland. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Trident Technical College’s first Dental Hygiene class in 1992. She worked private practice for a few years, married Dr. Jeff Lafond, and taught at TTC as a registered Dental Hygiene clinical instructor until retiring to raise her three children Abbie, Hannah and Sonny.

Medical Assistant in Charleston County, SC

Mckenzie Roof, MA

As a former front desk coordinator at our West Ashley location, Mckenzie made the transition of coming to the clinical side of Sweetgrass in August 2022 and we have been thrilled ever since! Assisting all clinics, at all locations, Mckenzie is familiar with your appointments and care like the back of her hand! Her bubbly personality is contagious amongst our staff and patients! While not taking care of patients at work, Mckenzie spends her down time with her family, her boyfriend, being outside on the water, traveling to Maryland and going four wheeling!

Meaghan Marcom, MA

Originally from the Bay Area in California, Meaghan moved to the East Coast to attend Johnson & Wales University where she earned her Bacherlors of Science in Sports, Entertainment & Event Management degree. After meeting her husband in Charlotte, North Carolina, the two moved to Charleston where Meaghan decided to have a career change into the medical field and has loved it ever since! When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their sons, and yellow lab, Gunner!

Chris Hensley, CRNA

Chris is officially from the upstate of South Carolina. He earned his Master’s in Nurse Anesthesia at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008. Chris and his wife reside in the Charleston area with their four girls and two dogs (girl pups as well, Chris is clearly outnumbered!). When they aren’t running to soccer, tennis, basketball, gymnastics or dance, Chris and his family enjoy the beach, the mountains or spending time with friends!

Beth Singletary, RN

Beth was born and raised in Moncks Corner, SC. She attended the University of South Carolina, Beaufort where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She loves making other people feel good about themselves and being their hype girl. When Beth isn’t at work, she’s more than likely spending time outdoors, hanging out with her four Boykin Spaniels or with her friends and family.

Rebecca Willey, Patient Care Coordinator

Rebecca Willey is a Patient Care Coordinator for Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery. She joined our team in March of 2017. Rebecca is responsible for patient scheduling as well as assisting with the day to day operations of the practice. Rebecca is lifelong resident of the Charleston area. Having been born and raised in the Lowcountry, her native roots add a dash of southern hospitality to the patient care process. As a loving wife and mother of two teenage children, Rebecca naturally exudes an unwavering commitment to the well being of the people around her. Coupled with a practice that puts the foremost emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction will leave you with a feeling of being treated as a member of our own family.
