Lea joined SGPS in May of 2021. Working alongside Dr. Schimpf, she focuses on achieving the best goals for surgical and non-surgical patients. Lea’s passion for the medical field started at a young age growing up surrounded by doctors in her family. Her bed side manner and care for patients comes naturally to her. Lea’s goal when it comes to her patients is to make them feel good in their own skin. She strives to make sure her patients are educated on their treatments and skin care to ensure their investment becomes part of their daily lifestyle. Lea lives a very healthy lifestyle and incorporates this in her practice as well. Lea originally is from Columbia, S.C. where she started her Esthetics career in 2016. Following to peruse her medical aesthetics career she moved to Colorado for a few years. She continues to grow in her profession through educational training and completing her nursing degree here in Charleston. Lea has been featured in magazines for skincare and educational pieces. In her free time, Lea enjoys working out and spending time with her German Shepards!

Tessa is originally from Savannah, GA. She received both her Master’s and Doctorate of Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Physiology and Nursing. She worked as an operating room nurse in Alaska before moving closer to home. Her passion is global restoration of the face through the utilization of skincare and injectables. She believes in patient empowerment through education. In her free time, you will find her spending time with family, traveling, or attending aesthetic conferences to further her education.

Rachael was born and raised in Georgetown, SC and attended the University of South Carolina obtaining her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degree. She began her career in the intensive care unit caring for cardiothoracic patients. She continued her career at the Medical University of South Carolina rotating throughout all of the intensive care units within the medical facility. Rachael found her passion for aesthetics and began injecting as a nurse practitioner in 2018. She began injecting in Greenville, SC and fell in love with the aesthetics field! Now in Charleston, SC, she continues her career injecting and specializes in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators, as well as microneedling, lasers and skincare. She has two children and spends her time loving on her babies when she’s not injecting beautiful faces!

Jessica earned her Master’s in Nursing from Pace University in New York City, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at New York University. Originally from Maryland, she relocated to Charleston in January 2020 to launch her career in aesthetic and wellness medicine. Jessica also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, which reflects her passion for health, fitness, and living an active lifestyle.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, and their daughter, Gia. She loves traveling, visiting the beach, and continuing her education in aesthetics. Jessica is excited to be part of the team at Sweetgrass, where she is dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best while enhancing their overall quality of life!

Beth, originally from a small town just outside of Augusta, Georgia, moved to the Lowcountry when she was just 11 years old. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Clemson University. Her love for the medical field combined with her passion for skincare led her to a career in medical esthetics. Beth loves to help boost her clients’ confidence. She believes that educating others on the importance of skincare, and the proper way to incorporate that into their lifestyle, are important steps to assist in improving one’s self-esteem. When we look better, we feel better. Beth revels in the joy she is able to bring to her clients’ faces.

When not working, you can find Beth enjoying the Charleston weather, or spending time on her family’s land in Georgia.

Storm Alexis comes to us from Columbia, SC. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her nursing career started out in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit before making the change to Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery. Storm Alexis couldn’t be happier with her decision and enjoys getting to interact with patients throughout the consultation process in clinic and then seeing them in the OR. It is her favorite part of the job! When she is not working, Storm Alexis loves spending time at the beach and hanging out with friends!

Katie is originally from the upstate of South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Prior to working at sweetgrass she worked at MUSC in the Emergency room. However, she says that she has found her perfect fit here at sweetgrass. You will most likely see her in the operating room, pre and post op and clinic. She loves interacting with and meeting patients! When she’s not working you can most likely find her with her friends, on a beach or at the gym!

Beth was born and raised in Moncks Corner, SC. She attended the University of South Carolina, Beaufort where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She loves making other people feel good about themselves and being their hype girl. When Beth isn’t at work, she’s more than likely spending time outdoors, hanging out with her four Boykin Spaniels or with her friends and family.
