Juvederm Volux XC is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler specially formulated to enhance the jawline. Juvederm® Volux® XC treatments typically begin with cleansing the skin, after which we’ll apply a numbing cream to reduce any pain that may occur during the injection process. However, the Volux® formula contains lidocaine, a local numbing agent, which also helps reduce discomfort during the injection process. As a result, a topical numbing solution is optional, but many patients prefer it to minimize the chance of pain. To administer treatment, we’ll inject the Volux® gel into and along the jawline using an ultrafine needle. Overall, Juvederm® Volux® XC treatments take less than 30 minutes to perform.
There is virtually no downtime after Volux® treatments. Some temporary redness, swelling or bruising may occur after injections, but you’ll be able to resume most normal activities right away. A few exceptions include sun exposure and strenuous exercise, which should be avoided for the first 24 hours after your treatment.
Results are instant, as the Volux® formula provides immediate jawline enhancement. These results will become more visible as any minor side effects fade. The results from Volux® are clinically proven to last up to one year.
