What Is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is an injectable gel filler used to reduce lines on the face, especially on the forehead and around the nose and mouth, as well as to plump lips. Juvederm® is made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that attracts water and keeps the skin hydrated. As we age, our skin loses the natural HA, which can now be replaced with Juvederm® injections.

The total cost of your Juvederm® treatment will vary based upon how much treatment is required. During your consultation we will develop a personalized treatment plan, and you will be informed of your treatment costs and methods of payment. We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. Financing is also available so that our Juvederm® treatments are affordable to all of our patients.
Using a very fine needle, Juvederm® is injected into the targeted area to instantly restore volume to the area. Depending on how well the injection performs, your surgeon may perform additional injections. With Juvederm®, the hyaluronic acid attracts water to retain the skin’s volume in the targeted area. The moisture in the skin is maintained although the actual Juvederm® is absorbed by the body. There is no preparation for Juvederm® except to abstain from taking ibuprofen, aspirin, or any blood thinning medications or supplements for about a week prior to receiving Juvederm®. Patients are asked to return for a follow-up appointment to evaluate the results, allowing any modification of the treatment and to ensure patient satisfaction. This is a quick, in-office procedure with immediate results and little or no downtime. It is highly effective in rejuvenating one’s appearance since it smooths the deep lines and creases of the face and plumps the lips if desired.
