What is Daxxify®?
Daxxify® is an injectable treatment specifically designed to reduce the appearance of frown lines. It falls into the category of neurotoxin products that utilize the botulinum toxin, which includes well-known injectables like Botox®. However, unlike leading products such as Botox®, Xeomin®, or Dysport®, which typically provide results lasting around 3 to 4 months, Daxxify® stands out by offering longer-lasting results.

Similar to other injectable botulinum toxin treatments, Daxxify® works by inducing relaxation in the facial muscles upon injection. This relaxation helps to diminish the visibility of frown lines. However, Daxxify® utilizes a unique formulation that incorporates a novel peptide to stabilize the botulinum toxin component. While all botulinum toxin injectables require a stabilizing ingredient, many of them rely on human or animal byproducts that may not be as effective. In contrast, the novel peptide present in the Daxxify® formula extends the potency of the botulinum toxin, resulting in results that can last up to twice as long as other treatments targeting frown lines.
Daxxify® injections require little to no downtime, and most individuals can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some common injection-related side effects may occur, such as swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or itching at the injection site. These side effects are usually mild and temporary, resolving within a few days to a week.
Over time, the effects of Daxxify® will become noticeable as the botulinum toxin takes effect in the body. Typically, it takes about a week to observe the complete results of the treatment, although some individuals may notice improvements earlier. On average, the results of Daxxify® last approximately 6 months. However, some patients have reported results lasting up to 9 months. With regular maintenance treatments, it is possible to extend and prolong these results further.
