What are Chemical Peels?
As we age, we lose elasticity in the deeper layers of our skin. Collagen, which serves as a support scaffold for the dermis, begins to fray and loosens its attachments to nearby collagen fibrils and dries up. This causes the skin to become loose and less elastic, allowing wrinkles to form. A chemical dermabrasion (chemical peel) will help tighten that collagen layer, returning strength and shape to the skin. Facial peels by our medical spa provide the best in facial resurfacing. Chemical peels, also known as skin resurfacing, helps tighten your skin, smooth out wrinkles and eliminate sun spots and brown spots.

What are the Benefits of Chemical Peels?
Skin resurfacing is a procedure that recontours the outer (epidermis) and inner (dermis) layers of the skin. Facial resurfacing has been likened more to an art than a science, requiring a profound understanding of the anatomy and the physiology of the skin. After all, the skin is your body’s largest organ and sheds and regenerates itself almost daily. Skin resurfacing re-contours the outer and inner layers of the skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
The total cost of your chemical peel treatment will vary based upon how much treatment is required. During your consultation we will develop a personalized treatment plan, and you will be informed of your treatment costs and methods of payment. We are happy to accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards. Financing is also available so that our chemical peel treatments are affordable to all of our patients.
We offer a wide range of chemical peels. During your consultation, we will discuss which peel is best for your skin types and needs. Some of our highly effective clinical treatments will result in two to four days of light to medium peeling. We also offer medium depth peels designed to “wipe the slate clean” by dramatically improving the health and condition of your skin. Damaged layers of skin are removed to reduce or eliminate hyperpigmentation, visibly improve surface wrinkles and aid in the reduction and control of acne scarring. Medium depth peels result in three to five days of peeling and avoidance of direct sunlight is mandatory for one week following treatment. A superficial chemical peel is a light peel promoting an accelerated form of exfoliation using a chemical element that penetrates into the outermost layer of your skin, giving it a youthful glow. The peel destroys damaged layers on the skin’s surface and stimulates both the growth of new epidermal skin cells and the production of collagen, allowing for tighter, brighter skin. As an antioxidant, a light peel may also reduce acne breakouts and acne scarring.
