Kybella® Procedure
Kybella® is a safe, non-surgical procedure performed in our comfortable and relaxing Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery offices. Before your treatment begins, any anesthetic necessary will be administered. Then, using a special grid, we will carefully draw the boundaries for the injections on your skin. Using this temporary grid marked on your chin as a guide, you will then receive 14 to 50 injections, depending on your particular needs. The procedure is very simple and straightforward, taking roughly 20 minutes to complete. The procedure can be done over your lunch hour, as there is no downtime or complicated recovery process. With Kybella®, you might require a few treatments spaced out at least a month apart to achieve the results you desire.
Kybella® Post-Treatment
The best thing about Kybella® is that it’s less invasive than any surgical approaches to addressing submental fat. You avoid all the negative issues involved with surgery, such as anesthesia and other risks connected with surgery, including the risk of infection and a longer downtime. Most patients see noticeable results after two to three treatment sessions. The number of treatments required will depend on the amount of fat being eradicated. Kybella® recovery is usually quick and uneventful. At most, patients report some very minor bruising and swelling that resolves within several days.
