What Is A Breast Lift?

A breast lift is a plastic surgery procedure that lifts the breasts to enhance the shape and position of the chest. A breast lift is performed using only your natural tissue (or a previously placed implant, if applicable), and is ideal for women who have experienced a droopiness in the breasts due to aging, pregnancy, or weight loss.

How is a Breast Lift Performed?

For a breast lift procedure, your surgeon makes incisions in your breasts to pull the skin taut around your existing underlying breast tissue. Once the skin is taut, the nipples are aligned, and the breast tissue is positioned with volume underneath. He or she will remove excess skin and close the incisions. The result is symmetrical, younger-looking perky breasts.
